I saw the fall of the wall up close while studying political science in Berlin. Witnessing society change sparked my social engagement, which also influences my work. Next to my studies, I was active at a scientific institute and conducted research into corporate social responsibility by the German industry. I realized that we can only make the transition to a more sustainable and healthier world together. And that the business community plays a decisive role in this.

About Tijmen

For more than fifteen years I have been involved in making complex international agri-food chains more sustainable. I do this in various roles, but always by working together with companies and other supply chain partners. An effective sustainability policy starts with listening to and involving stakeholders. I support companies by bringing the outside world in. I am a keen observer and able to convert my finding into concrete and tailor-made strategic advice. Thanks to my extensive (supply chain) knowledge, but also my connecting personality, I create support for new policies. This in turn can create the basis for true and lasting sustainability transitions.
