By working on sustainable agriculture, I combine my background in Biology and Environmental Sciences with my interest in making our food systems more climate-proof and nature-inclusive. With agriculture being inherently linked to nature, I like to contribute to restoring soil, water and biodiversity in existing systems to make food production more robust for the future.
About Willem
I’m particularly interested in nature as a solution for challenges in our society. Making ecosystem services visible, the value of natural processes in agriculture, can play a role in this. Combining agricultural practices with the restoration of biodiversity ensures a futureproof and resilient food supply. To achieve this, I like to work with different partners, cultures and links in the supply chain and look forward to cooperating with colleagues and stakeholders on interesting projects.
