My goal is to create just sustainability transitions. I focus on the social and cultural elements of sustainability transitions, without these there is no transition. Too often old patterns are repeated, too often people are systematically unheard and excluded. With my critical stance but holistic attitude, I connect many elements to sustainability to truly build long lasting social transitions.
About Rozemarijn
Within S&P, I work within the team Energy Transition, where we mainly focus on making the built environment more sustainable. In this team my personal focus and expertise is creating just sustainability transitions, in which everyone can participate. With my background in postcolonial studies and more general the humanities, I understand how cultural and social values and norms play a huge role in transitions. Currently, I put this into practice by guiding religious organisations in their sustainability journey. Besides this hands-on work, I also have experience in policy, communication, research and participation.
