Developer for a Healthy World

What charaterizes you

What you will be doing

As a developer you contribute to the development of very diverse sites and web applications. From blockchain - where we follow the rice chain - to calculating the nutritional values of novel foods and applications for collecting and analyzing stakeholder data, or building a platform for organizations such as the (dutch) `Deltaplan Biodiversiteitsherstel`. And much more. You use modern web techniques, take usability into account and ensure a good experience on mobile devices. You develop both front and backend and you do not turn your hands around for languages such as PHP and Javascript. You will also work closely with our consultants, designers and other programmers.

You are more than a conduit for code - you think along about smart solutions for our customers. You have an eye for detail, excellent HTML / CSS / PHP / Javascript skills (or you want to develop them further) and good communication skills. You live online and breathe web fonts, grids and pixels.

What you can bring

  • A higher education or equivalent ability
  • You quickly master new languages and techniques
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS, PHP, SQL and Javascript
  • Experience with modern webtechniques, responsive and touch-first design

And this is nice too:

  • Experience with known Javascript frameworks
  • Experience with versioning systems (git / Gitlab)
  • Experience with designapplications like Sketch
  • Experience on theme’s like open data, accessibility, SEO, online advertising, interaction design
  • Open source contributies
